What is a risk status?
ProjectFuture enables you to adjust the status of a risk. The risk status shows what has happened to a risk. This could be due to the tasks of the project team, but also changes in the risk conditions. Monitoring the status of risks helps you to assess what you should do with regard to individual risks and the project.
ProjectFuture distinguishes the following statuses:
- Known: the existence of the risk is known to the project team. “Known” is the default status of risks when they are added to ProjectFuture.
- Analyzed: an analysis (or more) has been done to understand the nature of the risk (characteristics, causes, effects)
- Response known: a minimum of one response exists for the risk
- Response selected: a response (or more) has been selected to cope with the risk
- Response implemented: all responses have been put into practice
- Issue: the risk has occurred
- Closed: the risk hasn’t occurred, or has occurred and been dealt with.
